I used to think a strong password was enough, but after my neighbor got hit I see it's just the start
My neighbor in Phoenix, a super smart guy, had a 16 character password with symbols and numbers. He still got his email hacked last month because he used that same password on four different sites, and one of them had a data breach. He told me, 'I felt so safe with that password, I never thought about where else I used it.' That's the thing, a single strong password is like locking your front door but leaving the back wide open if you reuse it. I've switched to using a password manager, Bitwarden in my case, and making every single login unique. It takes maybe five seconds longer to log in, but now if some small forum gets hacked, my bank and email are still safe. Has anyone else made this switch and found it actually easier than trying to remember fifty different 'strong' passwords?
