Come on now, is a bad ground always such a big deal? Sometimes that stuff is just annoying, not actually dangerous. I've seen guys freak out over a little voltage on a casing when the machine runs fine. Not every wiring hiccup is a crisis waiting to happen. Maybe the boss was right to drag his feet until he saw a real reason to fix it.

Protein masks are such a gamble. Gave up my flat iron last month as a similar act of faith, with mixed results.

My old place had a showerhead that felt like a pressure washer. It used so much water I could hear the meter spinning. Swapping it out was a big improvement.

Mind sharing the trick? In my experience, knowing the right move can save a dive, but your mileage may vary.
