One comment about speaker toe-in saved my whole listening room

I had my speakers pointed straight out for years, thought it sounded fine. Then a guy at a local shop in Portland told me to angle them toward my listening spot, like 15 degrees each. Honestly, the difference was huge, the vocals finally sat in the middle instead of being two separate blobs. I measured the distance from each speaker to my couch and matched it to the inch, which took about 20 minutes. Now I use a cheap laser level from the hardware store to recheck the angles every time I move furniture. Has anyone else gone through a similar toe-in revelation, or am I late to the party on this one?

Wait, you're busting out a laser level to align speakers like it's carpentry, is that really the make-or-break for your whole room? Sure, toe-in can help, but it sounds like you were just sitting way off-axis before, not exactly a life-changing epiphany.
