Unpacking crates in that space trucker game, actually calming

I thought those warehouse sorting sims would bore me to tears, but I booted one up on a rainy Sunday and lost 3 hours moving boxes. The slow rhythm and the little progress bars just hit different. Anybody else find repetitive sorting oddly soothing, or is it just me?

I mean, watching a progress bar fill up is fine and all, but calling it calming feels like a stretch. It's just a game tricking your brain into feeling productive while you sit there doing nothing. I get that it's a nice break from loud shooters or whatever, but three hours of moving boxes sounds less like relaxation and more like you were just too tired to switch games. Honestly, if you need that much structure to unwind, maybe just reorganize your closet or something. Not knocking your fun, just saying maybe we're giving sorting sims a little too much credit here.
