My cozy farm save file got wiped on day 217

I was three hours into a rainy Sunday morning, planting my fall pumpkins in Stardew Valley, when the power blinked. Just a flicker, but my old laptop shut down and when it came back, the save was corrupt. Day 217, all my kegs and the greenhouse setup, just gone. I sat there for a solid five minutes staring at the loading screen. Then I remembered I had a backup from last Tuesday on an external drive, so I only lost a week of in-game time. Still, I almost threw my mug at the wall. Has anyone else had a save file disaster ruin a slow-game mood? How did you bounce back without rage quitting?

Ugh, that hurts so bad, I feel for you. Same thing happened to me with a 150 hour save in another farming game, and what got me back in was starting a new file with a strict "backup every Friday" rule, just a quick copy to a USB stick. Honestly, once I got past the first season and my new farm started feeling like home, the old loss stopped stinging so much.
