Three years of 3D printing and I finally broke down and bought a resin printer

Last month I spent 8 straight hours sanding a PLA cast for a helmet prop and my neighbor walked over and said 'you know that woulda been one pour in silicone' so now I'm trying to figure out if a $250 resin setup on my nightstand is worth the smell, has anyone else made that jump?

Man, that neighbor had the best timing. I jumped from FDM to resin a year back and never looked back. The smell is real but a $30 vent box fixes it, and you'll save way more than 8 hours on the next prop.
