Lately, all the home workout advice is about going hard, but keeping it light has been my key to staying active.

Totally get this. I was all about max effort for years, pushed through every workout. Honestly, it just burned me out and I'd skip days. Switched to just moving a little most days, even just a walk, and it's completely different. The habit sticks because it's not a punishment. Now I actually look forward to it instead of dreading the grind.

That "burned out" feeling is so real. Forced myself to run five miles daily. Hated every minute. Now, a quick bike ride or some stretching. Feels like a break, not a chore. Sticking with it because it's easy.

My dog Fergus expects his walk every morning, no matter what. After seeing @raymartin's take, I realize that's my non-negotiable light activity. It just gets me out the door and I never see it as a workout.
