My phone's GPS glitched and sent me to a street that doesn't exist
So I was driving to a friend's new apartment in Columbus, following my phone's map. It told me to turn onto 'Elmview Terrace'. I turned, and the road just... ended. It was a dead end at a field, no houses, no signs, nothing. I checked three different map apps and none of them show an 'Elmview Terrace' anywhere near that area. I drove around for like 45 minutes trying to figure it out, totally late. My friend had to come find me. The weirdest part? When I got back to the main road, I looked at my phone's trip history and it didn't even record me making that wrong turn. Has anyone else had a map app completely invent a street and then erase the evidence?

Maybe your phone picked up an old planned subdivision that never got built. Developers sometimes submit street names to the city years before any construction, and outdated map data could still have it listed. The trip history glitch is just the app trying to cover its own mistake when it realized the road wasn't there.
