Hit 500 rolls of film developed at home this month

I've been developing black and white film in my bathroom since 2019 and just passed the 500 roll mark last week. It surprised me because I figured I'd have ruined way more than the 12 rolls I messed up early on. How many rolls did it take you before you stopped making stupid mistakes like forgetting the stop bath?

Are you counting those first 12 mess-ups in the 500? I lost count of how many rolls I wrecked early on. For me it was definitely more than 12 though. I still make dumb mistakes sometimes, like leaving film in the tank with just water for an hour. But it gets way easier once you get a good routine down.

Nah, I don't count the early fails. They're just part of learning. You gotta ruin at least 30 rolls before it clicks.
