Found my grandma's old recipe box in the attic last weekend
I was cleaning out my parents' house in Spokane and found a tin box full of her handwritten cards. One was for her 'Sunday Sauce' that just said 'brown the meat, add the tomatoes, cook until it's right.' I tried it yesterday, simmering it for about four hours like my dad said she did. It tasted exactly like her kitchen used to smell. Does anyone else have recipes that are more like vague instructions you have to figure out?

Those vague recipes are just frustrating. You can mess up a whole meal trying to guess what they meant.
