PSA: My mentor showed me a better way to extract blackheads at a convention in Orlando

At the IECSC trade show last year, a veteran esthetician showed me how she uses a damp cotton round instead of extraction tools for stubborn blackheads on the nose. It's gentler on the skin and gets more out without damaging the pore. Has anyone else tried this or do you swear by a different trick for comedones?

I tried that damp cotton round trick after seeing a demo at the IECSC show in Chicago. It worked way better than my metal extractor, less redness too.

Well I'll be, the damp cotton round trick actually works? I thought that was just something estheticians say to sound fancy. Guess I've been out here using a metal extractor like a caveman all this time.
