Got schooled by a client on microneedling depth settings
I've always stuck to 0.5mm for most faces, but a client named Sarah told me her derm does 1.5mm on her acne scars and she saw way better results. She showed me before and after pics from three sessions and it actually looked night and day. Has anyone else adjusted their needle depth based on a client's feedback?
The Pacific Derm in Vancouver uses a $8,000 Sciton laser, not a $200 Amazon pen. That's a totally different league of tech with different results and risks. If you're comparing costs between a medspa and a derm office, you're missing the real difference in what they're actually using on your face. Those cheap pens can cause scarring if they're not set right, whereas medical grade devices have way more safety features built in. You're basically comparing a bicycle to a sports car and complaining the price isn't the same.
