Why does nobody talk about the before-and-after of switching from a mouse to a proper drafting tablet?

My linework went from looking like a shaky toddler drew it to being crisp and controlled in about two weeks, all because I finally listened to my coworker Mark who said, 'You're fighting the tool, let it help you.'

That "fighting the tool" line is so true... I had the same feeling trying to learn blender with just a laptop trackpad. Switching to a proper mouse felt like unlocking a cheat code, even though it's a basic upgrade. It's crazy how much the right gear just gets out of your way.

Totally get that feeling of fighting your gear! My old mouse made digital painting feel like trying to sign a check on a bumpy bus ride. Getting a tablet with actual pressure sensitivity was a game changer, like the pen finally listened to my hand instead of arguing with it. The lines just started going where I meant them to go. It’s wild how much mental energy you waste compensating for bad tools.
