Tried self-leveling compound for the first time, big mistake with the primer
Last weekend I tackled my small laundry room floor, about 60 square feet, and watched the self-leveler ball up like pancake batter because I skipped the primer step in the instructions. I thought the concrete was clean enough, but the porosity sucked all the moisture out and left me with a bumpy mess that took 2 extra hours to grind down. Has anyone else had luck using a spray bottle to wet the slab instead of buying the special primer, or is that just asking for the same disaster?
