Hauling a 10-pound laptop through Bangkok hostels was a real workout. Now my setup is so light I barely notice it, which kinda takes the fun out of it. I used to feel like a tech pioneer, but now I'm just another guy with a MacBook at a coffee shop. Back then, getting online was a mission with internet cafes and sketchy wifi. These days, everything is seamless and you're never offline. Guess I miss the struggle, even if it meant carrying a brick.
