Realized I was packing my whole life for every move
After lugging a 50lb suitcase up five flights in Lisbon, a local just said 'you live like a tourist, not a traveler'. I was carrying three pairs of shoes I hadn't worn in six months. What's one thing you stopped bringing that made moving easier?

What about all those extra cables and chargers? I stopped bringing the backup for my backup and just kept one universal block and two cords. It cut out a whole tangled mess from my bag.

That local was brutally honest, but they're onto something! I finally stopped packing "just in case" books that I never read. Saved me like ten pounds of dead weight and regret.
