Just got burned booking a coliving in Medellin, check the background first
I paid $600 upfront for a month at a place in El Poblado last week based on the photos alone, turned up and the wifi was a joke and the hot water gave out every other day. The owner kept pushing coworking memberships and tours instead of fixing the basics. Has anyone else dealt with coliving spots that look great online but fall apart once you arrive?

Nah man that's rough, @jessefoster is right about the blurry lines down there.

Did you check if they actually advertised themselves as a "digital nomad hostel" instead of a coliving? The lines are blurry down there. I had a similar thing happen in Buenos Aires where the place billed itself as coliving but it was really just a hostel with a group chat. The owner kept trying to sell me on his crypto course every time I asked about the broken AC. I ended up checking out after three days and moving into a normal apartment through Airbnb. The funny thing is the reviews on the booking site were fine, but when I looked closer, they were all from people who only stayed two nights.
