The 12k canvas texture I almost deleted by accident
I spent 6 hours last month building this 12k canvas texture for a client's fantasy book cover, and my software crashed right as I hit export. The auto-save had 40 versions, but the one that loaded looked unrecognizable because I had the layer blend mode set to screen the whole time. Has anyone else had a near-miss like this, and do you set up auto-save checkpoints before every major layer shift?

Is it just me, or does the universe always pick the worst moment to test our backup habits? That blend mode trap is brutal, but I've noticed the same thing happens with everyday stuff, like when you finally organize your closet and then find the shirt you've been hunting for weeks within an hour. Honestly, the only fix I've found is to set a checkpoint before any big change, and to trust that the scary moment always teaches you something you'll use next time.
