Finished pieces vs process shots, I picked process and it paid off
At my last gallery submission, I had to choose between uploading polished final renders or the raw layer breakdowns and sketch stages. Most artists post the finished work, but I went with the in-progress shots because I wanted to show how I built the lighting from scratch. The curator actually mentioned she appreciated seeing the construction, and two other artists asked me about my workflow afterwards. Has anyone else found that showing the messier stages opens more doors than the clean final image?
