TIL my dead iPod Classic finally hit 1,000 plays on one song and I felt weirdly proud
It died in 2016 so I've been tracking plays in a spreadsheet ever since, and seeing that number roll over hit harder than I expected. Does anyone else keep some kind of log for their dead gadgets, or am I the only one doing this?

Wait, you kept tracking plays in a spreadsheet for eight years after the thing died? That is some serious dedication to a gadget that does not even turn on anymore. I get being attached to old stuff, but logging plays for a brick takes it to a whole new level.
