Rant: Trying to find the original blueprints for the old Sunrise Mall in Corpus Christi took me almost 8 months.
I kept hitting walls with the city records office and a local historical society, which makes me wonder if we should push harder to preserve these documents or just accept that some mall history is lost forever, so what do you think is more important, finding every detail or just documenting what's left?

Honestly it's just a mall from the 80s, not the lost library of Alexandria. Spending that much time on blueprints seems like overkill when the building is probably a parking lot now. Some things are okay to let fade away.

Finding every detail is a lost cause for most places, and chasing it burns people out. We should focus energy on saving what's still around, like photos and stories from people who worked there, before those are gone too.
