Can we talk about the wild plants I found in the empty food court?
I explored the shut down Grand Plaza Mall last month. In the food court, sunlight from a broken ceiling panel has let ivy and small trees grow through the floor tiles. It's like nature is fixing what we built, which got me wondering if we should help turn these places into parks or farms. Has anyone else seen this happen, and what are your thoughts on using dead malls for green projects?

Isn't that a huge waste of money to fix up? I'd rather see funds go to neighborhoods that need green spaces now.

Dude, my friend saw a dead mall with goats eating the overgrown plants inside.

Remember when they tried to put a fancy art gallery in that old factory by the river? It felt like they spent a ton just to make it look trendy, but the neighborhood really needed a basic grocery store. Sometimes these big fix-up projects miss what people actually use every day. I get the appeal of saving old buildings, but the money has to make sense for the community living there now.
