Can we talk about the dead mall in Flint that still has the arcade machines?

I drove up to the old Northwest Mall in Flint last Saturday because I heard they still had some stuff inside. The place has been closed since 2012 but someone left a few arcade cabinets in the back hallway near the food court. There was a Street Fighter 2 machine that still had a sign saying 25 cents a play. It kind of hit me weird because I used to skip school to play that exact machine back in 93. I wonder how long those things have been sitting there untouched. Has anyone else seen leftover stuff in malls that were supposed to be fully cleared out?

...and that reminds me of the time I found an old Pizza Hut sign still hanging in a dead mall near my hometown. It was way after the place shut down, like someone just forgot to take it down when they locked the doors. The weirdest part was there was still a stack of those red plastic cups on the counter behind the glass. I swear I could smell the garlic butter through the glass, or maybe I was just imagining it. It's funny how those empty spaces hold onto the ghosts of stuff we used to do, like the machines still plugged in but nobody to play them.

Used to think it was creepy, but now it sounds kinda sad and beautiful.
