Picked a 2007 ThinkPad over a new Chromebook for writing, no regrets

Everyone online swears by lightweight Chromebooks for distraction free typing, but I bought a beat up T61 for $45 at a flea market in Portland last month. The keyboard feel and the clunky satisfaction of booting into Linux just works better for my focus, even if the battery dies after 90 minutes. Anyone else stuck on old laptops when the new stuff makes more sense on paper?
