My old Game Boy Color got me through a layover in Chicago last month

I was stuck at O'Hare for 6 hours because of a storm and my phone was at 4%. I pulled out my teal Game Boy Color with Pokemon Yellow that I've kept since 2001 and a guy next to me, probably in his 30s, asked if he could watch me play. He ended up telling me he regrets selling his for gas money back in 2009 and we traded stories for almost an hour. Does anyone else keep a handheld just for travel emergencies, or am I the only one who still charges AA batteries for it?
