My 2004 iPod Mini still holds a charge after 3,100 days in a drawer, and I feel weirdly guilty about it
I dug out my old iPod Mini from a moving box in my parents' garage in Toledo last Tuesday, fully expecting a dead brick, and that little battery bar popped right up like it was 2005 again. I ran it for 6 hours of straight music before it finally quit, which is longer than my 2 year old phone lasts on a full charge. Is it crazy that I want to start using this thing daily again, or has anyone else gone back to an old player and actually stuck with it?
Man, that guilt makes total sense, you basically put it in a coma and it woke up ready to party. The wild part is those old batteries were built to sit, so it might outlast anything you buy today if you just keep using it.
