PSA: I picked linears for my first build and my fingers hate me at 11pm
I spent $210 on my first build last month and sat at the checkout for 20 minutes stuck between Cherry MX Browns and some Gateron linears. Everyone online said linears feel smoother, so I went with those and stuck them in a 65% board with a cheap aluminum case. Two weeks later my fingertips feel dead after a long night of typing, and my roommate keeps asking why my keyboard sounds like rain on a tin roof. Now I want to swap the switches but that means desoldering the whole thing since I was too cheap to get a hot swap PCB. Did anyone else start on linears and switch back to tactile, or am I just being picky?
