Am I the only one who changed their whole lube game after a local meetup in Raleigh
Went to my first small keyboard meetup in Raleigh about 8 months ago, maybe 30 people in a rented room above a bike shop. I had built maybe 4 boards by then and thought I had it figured out, stock switches, a bit of that thick grease on the stabs, done. A guy at the table next to me let me try his board and the keys felt smooth in a way mine never did, no scratch at all. He said he lubes the springs too, just a tiny bit, and that was the thing I had never even thought about. I tried it on a batch of switches that weekend with a small brush and a little tub of lube, and wow, the ping was just gone. Now I do springs on every build and it takes forever but my ears are way happier. Curious if other folks here bother with spring lube or if I'm overdoing it.
