Pro tip: your prompt doesn't need a twist ending to work
A guy at my Saturday write-in in Boise read my flash piece and said the twist felt bolted on, so I rewrote it with no reveal at all and it got picked for our group zine last week. A quiet ending that just lands has been way harder and way better than forcing a surprise. Anyone else find that plain, honest endings get picked apart less?
