That cheap rigging strap cost me a whole Saturday in Jersey

Picked up a $35 load strap from a hardware surplus place last month. Snapped clean on a 4 ton pick while we were setting steel in Newark. Lucky nobody got hurt, but we lost half the day waiting for a replacement. Anyone else trust budget slings or is it just me who learned this the hard way?
