Shoutout to the 28mm picking wire I found in my glove box
I've been running the same hoist cable for 4 months at the Port of Newark and it was starting to birdcage bad. Last Monday I grabbed a coil of 28mm from the back of my truck out of sheer laziness, figured I'd swap it Thursday. The difference in how smooth the load swings on a barge lift is night and day. Anyone else notice their rowdy loads were just a tired cable problem all along?
