Saw a slick move with the crane at the riverside project

They were lifting concrete panels for the new flood wall. The operator had a spotter using colored flags for each direction, which was new to me. It looked way smoother than just hand signals. Could be a good idea for sites with lots of background noise.

Saw airport ground crews use light wands similarly.
