Just learned why my swing was jerky on a 90 foot radius, and it was one setting
Last Tuesday at a job site in Dayton I was running a 60 ton and the swing kept lurching every time I eased off the stick, which made the guys on the deck nervous. A guy named Ray with 22 years in the seat climbed up and pointed at my swing brake delay set to zero, said it should be around 3 seconds so the brake eases in instead of grabbing. Bumped it to 3 and the load quit snapping, felt like a whole different machine. Any of you run yours higher or lower than that?
