Can we talk about the time a spilled soda killed our game night in Tulsa?

Two rounds into a split screen co-op run last Friday, my buddy knocked his Dr Pepper right onto my controller and it started drifting so bad we had to quit. We ended up taping a plastic cup over it and kept playing with a spare, but now I keep drinks on the floor during game nights. Has anyone found a cheap way to fix stick drift or should I just grab a new pad?
