Three years of bull floating, one knee pad epiphany in Phoenix

Last month I was finishing a 4,000 square foot warehouse slab in Phoenix, and my old foam knee pads had me walking like a robot by noon. I borrowed a pair of gel-filled pads from a guy on the crew, and the difference in my knees by the end of the pour was unreal. Has anyone else switched away from the standard foam ones, or am I late to the game?
