Rant: had to pick between a new thermal paste or a cheap air duster for a client's overheating laptop

Went with the paste and it dropped temps by 15 degrees, but now I'm out of duster for the vents. Anyone got a favorite brand for bulk dusters that doesn't leave residue?

Picking the paste was the right call, but now you're stuck with a dusty laptop. My last can of cheap stuff left this weird oily film on a keyboard, like someone sneezed on it. I've been using those Falcon brand ones from the office supply store, they seem okay. Just avoid the absolute bottom shelf stuff, it's more trouble than it's worth.

Actually, that oily film is usually from the propellant, not the cleaner itself. Cheap cans use a different mix that doesn't evaporate clean. Letting the laptop sit for a few extra minutes after spraying helps a ton, gives it time to fully dry. I learned that the hard way after ruining a perfectly good mouse pad.

Falcon's good, but @chen.phoenix, their new formula leaves a film too.
