Tried a rebreather on a wreck dive, honest thoughts after 3 dives

Swapped my open circuit for a used rebreather on a wreck off Pensacola last month. Wish someone told me how much time you waste on pre-dive checks and CO2 scrubber math, plus the bailout bottle handling is a whole different beast. Anyone else switch and regret it or am I just slow adapting?

Oh man, I feel this so hard! I made the same jump about two years back and those first few dives were brutal. The pre-dive loop checks alone made me want to scream, and I nearly bailed on a deep wreck because I kept second guessing my scrubber time. That bailout bottle strapped to your side changes your whole center of gravity, took me way longer to get used to than I expected. You aren't slow at all, this gear demands a whole different mindset. Stick with it though, once the muscle memory kicks in it gets way smoother, I promise. Just take your time and don't rush the prep, even if your buddies are already in the water.
