That cheap dive computer cost me 300 bucks extra
I bought a no-name dive computer off Amazon for $150 thinking it would do the job. After 6 months the O-ring failed and flooded on a 60-foot wreck dive in San Diego. Had to cut the dive short and pay another $200 for a rental for the rest of the week. Has anyone else had a budget computer crap out on them like that?

..and that's how you turn a $150 "bargain" into a $350 lesson lol. Honestly at that point you could've just bought a used Suunto or something that wouldn't turn into a submarine. Classic case of buy cheap, buy twice - except you bought cheap and then paid the rental tax too. RIP your wallet man, but at least you got a good story out of it. Diving on a budget is like eating gas station sushi, feels fine until it doesn't.

@leeknight I did the same thing with a cheap dive computer. Flooded on the second dive.
