Shoutout to the old timer at the Morgan City dock who told me to slow my descent
I was doing a shallow inspection job off a barge near Morgan City a while back when a diver named Ray, who had been working the Gulf for 30 plus years, watched my video and said my descent was too fast for the current. He told me to take an extra 30 seconds on the way down to read the water before I even touched the work site. I started doing it and my hose management and position on the job got way cleaner, plus I stopped fighting the current so much. Any of you have a small habit like that someone passed down that made a bigger difference than it should?
