Question about those plastic lift bag handles that always snap
I was swapping stories with an old saturation diver named Pete down at the dock in Port Fourchon last week. He told me he never uses the factory handles on his lift bags because he saw one break and drop a 500-pound valve skid in 30 feet of water back in the 90s. Said he always rigs his own loops with 1-inch nylon webbing and a hot knife. Has anyone else had a handle let go on them during a lift, or am I just overthinking it?

Nah, sounds like an old sea story to me.

Last time I had a leak like that I just wrapped it in an old t-shirt and tightened a hose clamp around it till I got home. @sandra_black, those old salts know their stuff but sometimes a quick fix beats a legend.
