Shoutout to the guy who gatekeeps at my local shop every Wednesday
There's this one dude at Comic Kingdom on 3rd Street who hovers over the new releases rack and tells everyone what they 'should' be reading. Last week he literally grabbed a copy of Saga out of my hand and said 'you probably won't get this, try something simpler.' I stopped going on Wednesdays and now I just swing by Sunday mornings when he's not there. Anyone else have a store regular who thinks they're the comic boss?

Haha yeah @james_ross I'd probably cry too if someone told me to put down Saga.

Wait, is this the same guy from the comic shop on 3rd who always wears the vintage X-Men shirt? I heard from a buddy who goes there that he literally argues with the store owner about the weekly orders. Like bro, the owner's been doing this for 20 years, you ain't special. I read some forum post last month where someone said this guy once told a mom her kid shouldn't read Invincible because it's too violent, and she cried. It's one thing to have opinions but physically grabbing stuff out of people's hands is just straight up rude. Honestly, good on you for switching to Sunday mornings. Some people just need to chill and let others enjoy things without acting like they own the place.
