Back issue bins used to be treasure hunts, now they're just clearance racks
I was digging through a $1 bin at a flea market outside Detroit last Saturday and noticed something. Every comic was from the last five years, no older stuff mixed in at all. Store owners used to toss in random 80s and 90s issues so you'd hunt for a weird find. Now they sort everything by value on eBay before it even hits the shelf. That takes away the whole fun of flipping through and spotting a forgotten gem for a quarter. Anybody else miss the days when bins had actual surprises instead of just overstock?
