My pour-over timing got ruined by a kitchen remodel

Three years ago I had a little corner station where I could do my whole V60 routine without thinking. Last month the wife decided to move the sink and cabinets around, and now my kettle sits way on the other side of the counter. It's thrown off my bloom timing completely, I keep pouring my first 50ml too fast because the scale is angled toward the window light. Has anyone else had to re-learn their brew setup after moving things around, or am I just being fussy about a few extra seconds?
