DAE learn more from breaking stuff than from tutorials? Blew up my first script at a library class in Reno
Honestly I had been doing Codecademy for like 3 weeks straight and felt like I was getting nowhere with Python. Then last month I went to a free intro class at the public library in Reno and the teacher had us write a tiny script that reads a CSV file of fake names. I forgot a comma in the loop, ran it, and it spat out an error that took me 20 minutes to figure out on my own. Something about fixing my own dumb mistake stuck way better than any video I watched. Has anyone else found that messing up your own code teaches you faster than following along with a tutorial?
