Rant: hand wrote my offsets for 3 years, then got spoiled by the DRO
Back when I ran an old Bridgeport clone at a shop in Fort Wayne about 3 years ago, I kept a spiral notebook of every offset because the readout was busted and nobody wanted to pay to fix it. Last month I finally got a new 3-axis DRO installed and caught myself still reaching for the notebook out of habit for the first week. Any of you older hands still keep paper backups, or did you drop the notebook the day the screen lit up?
