Hey everyone, my wife and I are finally pulling the trigger on a massive first-floor renovation. We're in Westlake and want to take down some load-bearing walls to completely open up the kitchen into the main living space. Can anyone recommend a solid design-build company around here? We really want someone who handles the architecture/design AND the construction so we don't have to juggle multiple contractors.

You should definitely reach out to Hurst Design Build Remodel. They are right there in Westlake on Center Ridge Rd. We used them for a very similar project (kitchen expansion and structural wall removal) and the whole process was incredibly smooth. Having the designers and builders on the same page from day one makes a huge difference in avoiding costly mistakes.
Seconding this! They did a master suite addition for us last year. They might not be the cheapest bid you'll get, but the craftsmanship is unbelievable and they stick to their timeline. They also handled all the permitting with the city, which is notoriously a nightmare to do on your own around here.
