Stared at a bag of lentils for 45 min before I realized I didn't know how to cook them
So I got this big 5 pound bag of green lentils from the Indian grocery for like $3.50 thinking I'd save money on protein. Got home and just stood there in the kitchen for almost an hour trying to remember if you soak them like beans or not. Finally googled it and turns out you don't even need to soak lentils, just rinse and boil for 20 minutes. Has anyone else had that moment where a cheap ingredient feels way harder than it should be?

Yeah read somewhere that lentils are the easiest bean because they don't need all that soaking nonsense.
