Found out my city library lends out museum passes for free, and our $4.50 coffee date turned into a whole afternoon
I always figured a museum trip meant $25 a person, so for date nights my girlfriend and I just did the same park walk over and over until it got old. Last Saturday I stopped at the front desk of the library in Boise to return a book and the librarian pointed at a little rack of passes you can check out for a week, so we hit the art museum for free and spent our money on two coffees instead. Does anyone know if other cities do this too, or is it just a Boise thing?
The Sacramento library has the same thing, a rack by the checkout desk with passes to the zoo, the railroad museum, a few others. You reserve them online a couple weeks out and get a paper pass you show at the gate. The zoo one saved us close to $40 for two adults. So yeah it's not just Boise, worth asking your library what they have or checking their website, a lot of them hide it in a tab nobody clicks on.
