Unpopular take on "Cats in Sunbeams" book

I know everyone raves about that "Cats in Sunbeams" coffee table book, but I think it's overrated. Used to display it front and center until I got "Urban Stray Portraits" last month and realized the sunbeam shots are all samey. Anyone else find a lesser-known cat book that blows the popular ones out of the water?

Man, I gotta tell you about this beat up old book I found at a library sale called "Fire Escape Cats of Brooklyn." It's just this guy who snuck photos of cats lounging on fire escapes in the 90s. No fancy lighting or posed shots, just cats being cats with laundry hanging over them and stuff. One picture has this orange tabby sleeping on a pizza box like it's a throne. The whole thing feels real, not like those staged sunbeam shots that all look the same after a while.

Heard a podcast where the photographer said he used a disposable camera for those fire escape shots.
