Tried photo stacking for cat fur details, got hooked

I used to think those fancy macro shots of whiskers were just luck, then I spent 20 minutes shooting my tabby's nose with a cheap extension tube and free stacking software. The first result looked like a hairy moon landing and I laughed, but the third attempt actually caught every tiny fur strand perfectly. Anyone else get obsessed with a technique they swore they'd never touch?
